Introducing Safe Haven

Community Care Alliance has opened Safe Haven, a new harm reduction-focused drop-in center at 245 Main Street (3rd floor) in Woonsocket. It is a safe space where unhoused or unstably housed members of our community are welcomed by a team of expert staff who address the most basic needs and build trust.

Hours will expand on March 24, 2021 and be open from 9:00 - 4:00 on Mondays - Fridays. No appointment is needed and COVID safety protocols are followed. At Safe Haven individuals may access:

  • Food, and lunch is served Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays

  • Basic needs-personal care items

  • RIPTA tickets

  • Needle exchange and Narcan training and distribution

  • Connections to emergency shelter if available

  • Connections to behavioral health treatment and support

  • Peer recovery supports.

  • Rapid, low barrier connection to primary care doctors

  • Connection to COVID testing and information about vaccines
